Best Pistols in Dune Awakening

A pistol is the backup that saves you when your main weapon runs dry. Here are the pistols really worth carrying and why.

What to pick

• For PvE: 6Seethe — A pistol for players who hit heads: extra accuracy and bonus headshot damage. The magazine holds only 3 rounds, so each one has to land.
• For PvP: 6Regis Disruptor Pistol — The go-to shield breaker: its charged shot destabilizes a Holtzman shield so you can finish with your main weapon. Its damage stat is misleading — shields are the point.
• All-round pick: 6Hell-Fury Pistol — Builds up burn on hit and holds more rounds than Seethe. Fire hurts through shields, so it also works in PvP.
• Backup gun: 6Way of the Misr — An automatic 24-dart maula pistol: a handy short-range backup when you don’t want to swap to your main weapon.
• Early game: 4House Disruptor Pistol — An early disruptor pistol that already lets you break shields at mid levels.

What to avoid

• 6Shishakli's Bite — Fires two darts at once with worse accuracy: the magazine empties twice as fast for little damage.
• Ari's Pistol — A story memento: its accuracy bonus only works while Prescient, and in a fight it is weaker than regular pistols.

Tips

• A pistol is your second weapon: in PvP carry a disruptor to strip shields, in PvE take Seethe or the Hell-Fury Pistol to finish targets fast.
• Maula pistols hit softly and at short range — fine early, not for endgame.
• Heavy pistols reload slowly: fire when the target is exposed, not blindly.
