Rifles are the main weapon at medium and long range. Here are the ones really worth crafting and why, with all the stats below.

What to pick

  • All-round pick: 6Regis Tripleshot Repeating Rifle — Fires three poisoned darts in a horizontal spread and has an enlarged magazine: the most reliable mid-range rifle for camps and players alike.
  • All-round pick: 6Blind Fury — A spitdart rifle without a scope, but it holds 5 darts and fires and reloads faster than scoped snipers.
  • For PvP: 6Dunewatcher — A scoped sniper whose poison keeps hurting through a Holtzman shield. Good for pressuring and finishing players at long range in the Deep Desert.
  • To break a shield: 6Experimental Lightning Gun — Runs on power instead of darts, and its EMP blasts break shields. Use it to strip a shield and finish with another weapon — its health damage is low.
  • Early game: 5Fivefinger's Tripleshot Rifle — The same poison tripleshot, one tier lower; a solid choice until you get the Regis version.

What to avoid

  • 6Salusan Vengeance — Fires explosive darts that splash back on you up close and burns through ammo faster than a normal rifle. The poison rifles do the same job better.

Tips

  • A Holtzman shield stops plain fast darts, but poison and fire hurt through it — that is why poison rifles are the PvP choice.
  • The automatic Karpov 38 is fine for leveling and unshielded enemies but nearly useless against a shielded player.
  • With a 2–5 dart magazine every shot counts: aim for the head and reload behind cover.

Ranking

Each group lists the best options from best to worst: what each one is for and its in-game numbers. If something isn’t listed, it isn’t worth taking.

Damage per second is the damage of one shot or hit multiplied by the fire rate. Reloading isn't counted here, so for a long fight watch the magazine too.
