Contents
The Bene Gesserit school starts with Sister Mesa at Helius Gate, the Atreides fortress in Hagga Basin. Her contract The Missing Pieces asks for two old texts from Fremen ruins in the O'odham. Where the questline starts
The board contract Skills of the Sisterhood only asks you to talk to Sister Mesa at Helius Gate. You can skip it and fly there yourself. Mesa stands inside the fortress near the Atreides Quartermaster. If you picked Bene Gesserit at character creation, The Missing Pieces may already be done: check the Journey tab, and if it is, go straight to Jocasta Cleo.
Basic training: The Missing Pieces
Mesa collects old prophecy texts and two are missing. Both are in abandoned Fremen ruins in the O'odham.
Then ask Mesa about advanced training. She sends you to Harko Village.
Advanced training with Jocasta Cleo
Jocasta Cleo has no map marker of her own. She waits in a Harko Village alley near the Imperial Consulate, in front of the weapons merchant Asmara Efendi. Use that pin to find her.
Sacred Records
The Missionaria Protectiva
Equip the Handheld Resource Scanner before you go.
The Impact of Ecology
Testing stations need ID bands to open their inner doors. In No. 71, do the left wing first, then the right. Our Imperial Testing Stations guide explains how they work.
Secrets of the Syndicate
Jocasta's hint is the para-west Hagga Basin and a remote wreck in the Sheol. Follow this route:
The Rogue Bene Gesserit
Litany Against Fear is a capstone ability, so make sure you unlocked it with one of the earlier capstone contracts and slotted it.
The fastest way through
- Bring a Full Suspensor Belt or an ornithopter for the Stone Sentinel. The climb is long, and an ornithopter drops you halfway up.
- Carry the scanner from day one. The Missionaria Protectiva cannot progress without it.
- Batch the O'odham trips. Stonestep Village, House of Ilm, Testing Station No. 71 and Khala Cavern are all in the O'odham, close to each other.
- Park outside the Sheol. The Wreck of the Ourea is in a radiation and PvP zone. Leave the vehicle north-west of the wreck, outside both zones, and wear a Radiation Suit for the walk in.
- Plan your skill points in the skill planner so that Compel and Litany Against Fear are ready before the final contract.
Common blockers
- Compel takes forever. It has a cooldown of more than 30 seconds, so three uses take a while. Stand near a group of weak enemies and keep it on cooldown.
- "Someone broke in here and stole the contents." That is the expected message at the fragment's first spot. Scan to find the trail.
- Can't find Jocasta Cleo. She has no own marker. Find Asmara Efendi in Harko Village; she stands right in front of the merchant.
- The Syndicate leader keeps killing you. He is tough. Park a vehicle near Khala Cavern so you respawn close by.
Rewards and what comes next
The six contracts give 2,800 XP, plus 700 XP for the board contract. You get the full Bene Gesserit tree, Levels 2 and 3, and three capstone unlocks. The final reward includes the Adept Disruptor Pistol and the Bene Gesserit armour schematic. There is no follow-up journey.
Next school? The Swordmaster line also runs out of Harko Village, and the Mentat line shares the trip to the Sheol. All five schools are compared in the classes and trainers guide.
Where is Jocasta Cleo in Dune Awakening?
In Harko Village, in the alley near the Imperial Consulate, right in front of the weapons merchant Asmara Efendi. She has no map marker of her own.
Where is the Stone Sentinel?
In the Shield Wall near Pinnacle Station. Climb to the top and into its mouth for the List of Naibs. A Full Suspensor Belt or an ornithopter makes the climb much shorter.
Do I need a scanner for the Bene Gesserit questline?
Yes. The Missionaria Protectiva asks you to scan the robbed room to pick up the trail to the House of Ilm.
What do I say at Hannivar's in The Impact of Ecology?
Order a spiced beer from the barkeep, "I'll have a spiced beer then.", and then question the mercenary at the back of the bar.
Why can't I finish The Rogue Bene Gesserit?
You need three uses each of Compel and Litany Against Fear. Litany is a capstone ability, so unlock and slot it first. Compel's cooldown is over 30 seconds.
