To move your base in Dune Awakening, craft a Base Reconstruction Tool at any Fabricator (5 Copper Ingots), aim it at your base and store it. The whole base, with its stations, containers and their contents, is linked to your character. Pick a new spot in Hagga Basin and place it again. Vehicles stay behind.

There are two building tools with similar names, and players often mix them up. The Base Reconstruction Tool moves your real base. The Solido Replicator copies only a layout. Here is what each one does.

Short version: if you want to move, use the Base Reconstruction Tool. If you want to copy, use the Solido Replicator.

How to move your base step by step

What the Base Reconstruction Tool keeps and what it leaves

Kept: the Sub-Fief Console, walls, foundations, roofs and doors, decorations, crafting benches and refineries, storage containers, and everything inside those containers.

Left behind or lost:

  • assembled vehicles, which drop to the ground, and unfinished vehicles;
  • anything placed outside the console's limits or directly on terrain instead of on the base;
  • the permission list, which you will need to set up again.

Limits and cooldowns

  • 7-day cooldown. After you place a Sub-Fief or Advanced Sub-Fief, whether with the Construction Tool or by restoring it, that fief cannot be stored again for 7 days. Pick the new site carefully.
  • Up to 3 stored bases per character.
  • Hagga Basin only. You can store and restore only in Hagga Basin. The tool does nothing in the Deep Desert.
  • Owner only. Only the base owner can store it. Co-owners and guildmates cannot.
  • Placement rules. Restoring fails if the hologram overlaps another player's claim or a no-build zone, or if another player is standing inside the target claim.
  • Advanced Sub-Fief bases cannot go to Hagga Basin South, the starter zone.
  • No upkeep while stored. A stored base uses no power.
  • Safe on death. The tool cannot be lost when you die, not even to a sandworm. If another player somehow gets hold of it, they only see bases they stored themselves.

You can restore a stored base even on a different server. The same placement rules apply there, so if your old spot is taken, choose a free one.

Moving vehicles

Vehicles are the one thing the Base Reconstruction Tool will not carry. You have two options:

  • Drive or fly them to the new site before you pack the base. If you have only one ride, use the vehicles guide to plan the trips.
  • Craft a Vehicle Backup Tool (6 Copper Ingots and 2 Particle Capacitors at a Fabricator). It stores a vehicle as an item in your inventory, and you can deploy it again at the new base. It is also one of the few things you keep after a sandworm eats you. Particle Capacitors drop in Imperial Testing Stations.

Using the Solido Replicator to copy a base

The Solido Replicator is the blueprint tool. Aim it at a base you own, or one where you have at least co-owner rights, and it saves the layout. At the new site you place the blueprint as a hologram and then build it, paying for every wall and foundation as usual. It does not save chests, stations or their contents.

When the replicator makes sense:

  • you want a second base with the same proven layout, for example an ore depot;
  • you rebuild the same outpost in the Deep Desert every week after the Coriolis storm wipes it;
  • you want to share a design with a guildmate.

Need materials for the rebuild? The crafting calculator totals what a build costs, and the market helps if you are short on a resource.

Plan the new base before you pack the old one

The two most common moves are from the starter zone to the Ironworks for iron, and later to the Wreck of the Alecto for aluminum and basalt:

  1. Find the spot. Use resource layers on the map, or the ranked list in our base locations guide.
  2. Sketch the layout in the base generator or borrow one from the base library.
  3. Check the claim size. Everything must fit inside the console's limits, or it will be left behind on the next move.
  4. Only then store the base. Remember the 7-day cooldown starts once you place it again.
How do I move my base in Dune Awakening?

Craft a Base Reconstruction Tool (5 Copper Ingots at a Fabricator), aim it at your base and choose Backup Base. Then go to the new spot, equip the tool, choose Place Blueprint and confirm.

Does moving a base keep my items?

Yes. Containers are stored with their contents. Vehicles are not stored, and neither is anything placed outside the base or directly on terrain.

How often can I move my base?

After a Sub-Fief is placed, it cannot be stored again for 7 days.

Can I move my base to the Deep Desert?

No. The Base Reconstruction Tool works only in Hagga Basin. For the Deep Desert, use a Solido Replicator blueprint and rebuild with materials.

What is the difference between the Solido Replicator and the Base Reconstruction Tool?

The Solido Replicator copies a layout that you rebuild with materials, and the original base stays. The Base Reconstruction Tool picks up the real base with everything inside it.
