Military Power Regulator Locations in Dune Awakening

Military Power Regulators drop in only four places: the Enemy Outposts The Aegis, Passage of Artemis, The Beast's Claw and Edge of Acheron in Hagga Basin. Their 26 containers hold one at an 81–93 % chance. Hydraulic Pistons come from the very same chests, so one loop through these outposts farms both Mk5 vehicle parts.

Both items appear only in these heavily guarded military outposts. The Regulator does not drop in the Deep Desert at all. The Piston does, but at much worse odds (see below).

Where to find Military Power Regulators in Hagga Basin

The odds depend on the chest: the 18 ordinary chests roll 81.2 %, the 5 rare chests 90.2 % and the 3 ultra-rare chests 92.9 %. Edge of Acheron has no ultra-rare chest, which is why it tops out at 90.2 %. Hydraulic Pistons use exactly the same chests with exactly the same odds.

Edge of Acheron

Five containers: four ordinary and one rare. The outpost lies in Sheol, the irradiated part of Hagga Basin. If you plan to explore around it, wear a radiation suit (see the Irradiated Slag guide).

Where to find Hydraulic Pistons

In Hagga Basin, Hydraulic Pistons drop from the same four outposts as Regulators, at 81.2–92.9 %. In the Deep Desert they also drop, but rarely:

• Unrecovered Shipwrecks: up to 24 % per chest, up to 13 containers per wreck;
• Forgotten Caves: up to 9.2 %;
• Buried Testing Stations: 0.3 %.

The separate Wreck of the Tyche location gives up to 23.4 %. For Pistons, the Hagga outposts are still four times better than any Deep Desert wreck.

What Military Power Regulators are used for

Both components are tier 5. You spend them at the Vehicles Fabricator on Mk5 parts:

So a full Mk5 ornithopter, with a generator and an engine, takes 6 of each. At tier 6, the Advanced Survival Fabricator turns 3 Regulators, 2 Plasteel Plates and 1 Cobalt Paste into an Overclocked Power Regulator. It turns 3 Pistons, 2 Plasteel Plates and 1 Duraluminum Ingot into a Tri-Forged Hydraulic Piston.

Farming tips

• Bring tier-5 gear. These are military outposts with armed troops, not lightly guarded camps.
• Fly an ornithopter between the outposts. The Aegis and Passage of Artemis are close to each other. The Beast's Claw and Edge of Acheron make a second pair.
• Alternate the pairs. While you clear one pair, the chests in the other refill, so you never wait at an empty outpost.
• Loot every chest, not only the ultra-rare one. The 18 ordinary chests still roll 81 %, so they give most of your haul.
