Thermoelectric Coolers drop only in the Deep Desert. You won't find a single one in Hagga Basin. The good news: every container that can hold one has a 100% chance. The best targets are the big shipwrecks (up to 15 containers each), followed by Imperial Testing Stations and Forgotten Caves.
Where to find Thermoelectric Coolers in the Deep Desert
The Deep Desert reshuffles every week, so we don't pin exact spots here. This week (late October 2026), 145 containers hold Thermoelectric Coolers. This is how they split by site type:

The two richest sites this week are the Wreck of the Stasanor and the Wreck of the Hicetas, with 15 containers each. The Wreck of the Archidamas III and the Wreck of the Proxenus have 6, and the Wreck of the Xenophon and Imperial Testing Station No. 37 have 5. Next week the names and positions will be different, but the pattern holds: big wrecks first.

Is there Thermoelectric Cooler in Hagga Basin?
No. It doesn't drop in any Hagga Basin container or story instance. If you can't go into the Deep Desert yet, the only other option is buying it from other players on the market. Our Deep Desert guide explains how to get there.
What Thermoelectric Cooler is used for
It's a tier-5 part for late-game mining tools and one key station. It goes into 11 recipes plus one building:
- Advanced Survival Fabricator: 25 Thermoelectric Coolers, plus 110 Cobalt Paste, 150 Silicone Block, 80 Complex Machinery and 115 Plastanium Ingot. You need this station to make tier-6 survival gear.
- Cutterays: Cutteray Mk5 needs 5 (with 30 Duraluminum Ingot, 14 EMF Generator, 12 Cobalt Paste and 8 Ray Amplifier). Cutteray Mk6 needs 7, Tarl Cutteray 6, Kynes's Cutteray 8.
- Buggy Cutterays: Mk5 8, Mk6 12, Focused Mk5 10, Focused Mk6 28.
- Compactors: Compact Compactor Mk5 5, Mk6 6, Omni Static Compactor 7.
