The Great Convention Part II starts with Elara Tuek in Harko Village. She gives you the arena passphrase "White for poison, black for purity." Say it to the guards by the North Terminus exit, sign up with Maksim Dubrov and fight five tiers. From tier two on, each tier starts with an errand: a radiation core, elacca crates, a suboid, an abomination.

Bring for all of Part II: a Cutteray, a Radiation Suit (or iodine pills) and a hand scanner. You enter each arena fight with the health you have, so heal first. The lobby vendor sells weapons and healkits.

How to start: Call to Arms

Part II unlocks after Noctua's Return, the last journey of The Great Convention Part I. Go to any safe settlement and wait for Elara's call, then talk to her in Harko Village. She has traced the Face Dancer to an illegal dueling ring by the Neo Carthag construction site. She gives you the passphrase (100 XP).

Breaking the Chains (tier 3): the elacca shipment

This errand goes into the Deep Desert. Its layout changes every week, so check the live map before you fly. Leave valuables at home: if you die in a PvP area, other players can loot what you carry.

Extinguishing the Flames (tier 4): capture a suboid

A Deadly Poison (tier 5): the abomination from Old Carthag

Outside the Law: Fallen Light and the Minotaur

Common problems and fixes

  • The guards won't let you in. Talk to Elara first (Call to Arms), then choose the passphrase line in the guards' dialogue.
  • Can't find the radiation core. It isn't at the Delphis. That wreck is crossed out on the map. Go to the downed ship just south of the Wreck of the Ourea.
  • "Secure the crates of elacca" won't finish. It needs all three crates in your inventory.
  • The Purple ID Band won't pick up. Step to its left and try again, close to the console.
  • Esmar at Fallen Light calls Elara's phrase gibberish. That scene is scripted, so nothing is broken. Carry on with the gauntlet. The phrase works with the real Esmar Tuek in Dangerous Allies.
  • Lost an arena fight? You re-enter at your current health. Heal and restock in the lobby before you talk to Maksim.

What comes next

Call of the Night closes Part II: go to any tradepost in Hagga Basin, where Noctua, Zantara's bat, brings you a new message. Part III starts with Dangerous Allies: wait in a watersealed base for Elara's call, then talk to Esmar Tuek in Fallen Light and say Elara's phrase, "A stone is heavy and the sand is weighty..." The rest is in Zanovar and Forty Fears. Every other passphrase and door code is in our list of all codes and puzzle answers.

In a downed ship just south of the Wreck of the Ourea, in the Sheol. Close its container with the console in the control room behind it, then pick it up.
