In Paper Trail, Sehmo's sorting code is ALDAX804. You don't type it anywhere. Search the slaver base at Runaway Station and the ledger lists Maula Candidate "Sehmo" under sorting code ALDAX804. Then enter the sorting center inside the testing station and find the same code in the shipping ledger: "Transferred to Neo-Carthag". Call Tareck Bahris to collect the Handheld Life Scanner Mk3.

How to start Finding Sehmo
Take Missing Sister from Tareck Bahris on the contract board at The Anvil tradepost in the Vermillius Gap. His sister Sehmo, a prospector, left the Anvil to survey minerals near the Hand of Khidr and stopped answering. Slave trains have been seen in the area. The contract card says the chain ends with a unique tool.
The chain has five main contracts. Three come from Tareck, and in the middle you go undercover with the slavers to earn their trust.

Dealing with Devils also asks for a third slaver job, Offload Equipment: the slavers want the belongings of their captives sold off at a tradepost before they move the prisoners on. The main contracts pay Solari as well.

Tareck's plan in Dealing with Devils is simple and grim: to find Sehmo, you have to become one of the slavers. Work through Dragomir Halil's contracts until they trust you.
Slavemaster Supplies
Halil is short on munitions and gear, and every employee who can craft has to chip in. Deliver the number of Standard GRDA 44 shotguns the contract asks for to the contract board at The Anvil, then call him. Each GRDA 44 takes 10 Iron Ingots, 4 Mechanical Parts, 3 Silicone Blocks and 9 Gun Parts at a Fabricator. Check the totals in the crafting calculator before you start, and see where to find Mechanical Parts if you're short.
Growing Pain
Halil wants the research notes of a scientist named Goetha so he doesn't need Goetha herself. He has already sent a man; you catch up with him at The Sweep.
Growing Pain also gives the Slaver Stillsuit Set Variant. While you're in Station No. 76, it's worth looting: it has Particle Capacitors and a chance at Reaper Gloves (Imperial Testing Stations).
Dealing with Devils
Once all three slaver jobs are done, you learn where the Slave Sorting Center is. Call Tareck, and he gives you the last contract.

A slaver at the Crossroads tried to sell Sehmo's scanner, with her name still on it. That points to the slaver base he worked from, and its records should hold the ID number Sehmo was given.
Fastest way through Finding Sehmo
- Craft the GRDA 44s early. Slavemaster Supplies is the only step that needs materials. Build the shotguns before you take it and it's just a delivery.
- Clear Station No. 76 in one go. Grab Goetha's notes and loot the station on the same trip instead of coming back.
- Use the contract menu for every call. Each contract ends with "Call Issuer"; you never need to walk back to The Anvil for that.
- Read the codes, don't write them down. Nothing in Paper Trail asks you to enter ALDAX804. Interacting with the right ledger is enough.
Common problems and fixes
- Dealing with Devils won't complete. All three slaver jobs must be done: Offload Equipment, Slavemaster Supplies and Growing Pain. Check your contract list for the one you skipped.
- I'm looking for a keypad for ALDAX804. There isn't one. The code only links the two records.
- Paper Trail stuck on "Investigate the Runaway base". Search the base until you interact with the ledger; walking in isn't enough.
- The sorting center step doesn't trigger. You need to be inside the sorting center itself, not just at the station entrance. Follow the marker all the way in.
- Missing Sister keeps killing me. The Hand of Khidr is a slaver stronghold. Clear the courtyard from range, heal between fights, and come back with better armor if you need to.
