Lost Harvest starts with a distress call from the spice harvester Mithra. Its wreck lies north-west of Griffin's Reach Tradepost in Hagga Basin. Help its three officers (Chief Hanso, Quartermaster Hix and Lieutenant Drangh), then follow Keif Villari's stolen package through Testing Stations 13, 117 and 29. Nearly every step pays out a Treadwheel module schematic.

Lost Harvest is a paid DLC, also included in the Season Pass. Without the DLC the distress call never arrives.

How to start Lost Harvest

The distress call comes after the early journey Moving On, while you are inside a watersealed base or at a tradepost. The first step, "Listen to the distress call", completes as soon as it plays. Then fly to the crash site.

The Fall of the Mithra: the three officers

Find the survivors camped next to the wreck. Locating them already pays out the Treadwheel Chassis Mk4 schematic. Each officer has their own contract chain.

Before they trust you, Chief Hanso and Quartermaster Hix ask for the challenge phrase. Answer "Long live Argus Veer." With Hix, pick "The Safety Warden sent me. The challenge phrase is, "Long Live Argus Veer."" The other lines, "Ummm..." and "The falcon flies at midnight?", are wrong, and Hix sends you away.

Quartermaster Hix

ContractWhat to do
A Healing HandDeliver 10 Healkits
A Fighting ChanceDeliver 4 Improvised Maula Pistols and 500 Light Darts
No Trespassing!Find the Mithra side entrance and kill 4 Kirab bandits inside, then return to Hix

Finishing Hix's chain gives the Treadwheel Passenger Mk1 schematic. Craft the healkits and pistols at home before you fly out, and the first two contracts are a single hand-in.

Lieutenant Drangh

ContractWhat to do
Radio SilencedRecover a Blue-lattice Kyanite Crystal, a Torson Soundshifter and a Twin-polarity Microfram from the Mithra's scattered stores; follow the markers
Boosting the SignalRepair the relay beacon on the rocks, check in with Drangh, enter the side entrance, activate the auxiliary power console and reactivate the distress beacon

Finishing Drangh's chain gives the Treadwheel Scanner Mk2 schematic.

Chief Hanso

ContractWhat to do
Search and RetrievalSearch four Kirab camps for Guild Tags, then examine the discarded Comms Device
Lost WithinEnter through the roof hatch and find three survivors inside the wreck

Finishing Hanso's chain gives the Treadwheel Inventory Mk2 schematic. When all three officers are done, talk to Hanso again and take Following Up. It only asks you to call Keif Villari from your contract menu.

Villari's Prize: plant the bugs, then Testing Station 13

Keif Villari, the Spice Miners' Guild safety warden, wants the package his agent was carrying on the Mithra. An ornithopter makes this journey far quicker: land on the highest point of each outpost.

The package was stolen again, this time by slavers. You recover it, then use what is inside.

What to bring

  • An ornithopter: the route covers half of Hagga Basin. See how to get an ornithopter.
  • Iodine pills or a radiation suit for Lost Within, plus a few spare healkits for the poison gas behind the side entrance.
  • At each stop, land on rock rather than open sand so a sandworm can't take your ornithopter while you're inside.
  • 10 healkits, 4 Improvised Maula Pistols and 500 Light Darts for Hix.
  • A cutteray for the conduit doors in Station 29, and a turret or an automatic weapon for the terminal defence.

Common blockers and fixes

  • Hanso or Hix won't take your help. Give the challenge phrase "Long live Argus Veer.", not one of the joke lines.
  • The distress call never comes. Go into a watersealed base and wait. If it still doesn't arrive, build a small new sealed shelter and wait inside that.
  • Lost Within survivors don't appear. Leave the instance, fly away for 10–15 seconds so it resets, pick the ID bands up again and come back.
  • "Find the access port" won't complete (Digging Deeper). Restore all three palm-activated power conduits first. Their doors have to be cut open with a cutteray, so don't come without one.
  • Crashes in Station 117. If the game crashes there, log back in and continue from the last checkpoint.
  • The door after survivor 1 won't open. It needs the Orange ID Band from the second survivor's room, not a yellow one.

For the full list of coloured bands and where they spawn, see our ID bands guide.

Elara Tuek's call after Digging Deeper starts Secrets of the Past, the final Lost Harvest journey: two hidden labs under Testing Stations 60 and 163, and the AI PAL. How do I start Lost Harvest in Dune Awakening?

Own the DLC, finish Moving On, and wait in a watersealed base or a tradepost until the Mithra's distress call arrives. Then fly north-west of Griffin's Reach Tradepost.

Where is the third survivor in Lost Within?

Behind the door that matches the band from the second survivor's room, behind survivor 1. It needs the Orange ID Band.

What is the challenge phrase in Lost Harvest?

"Long live Argus Veer." Chief Hanso and Quartermaster Hix both ask for it at the Mithra camp. Pick that line, not "Ummm..." or "The falcon flies at midnight?"

Where is the hidden lab in Testing Station 29?

Behind an orange-lit bookshelf next to the rare container. The Purple ID Band lies right next to it.

What are the Lost Harvest rewards?

Treadwheel schematics (Chassis, PSU, Engine, Hull, Boost and Tread at Mk4, plus Passenger Mk1, Scanner Mk2 and Inventory Mk2), XP and Solari.
