Where to Find Titanium Ore in Dune Awakening

Titanium Ore exists only in the Deep Desert; Hagga Basin has none. It grows on rock outcrops, and the layout reshuffles every week. You need a Cutteray Mk5 or better. Open our live finder to see this week's best sectors, then fly in with an ornithopter, water and plenty of storage.

Where to find Titanium Ore in the Deep Desert

The Deep Desert is split into a 9×9 grid of sectors, rows A to I and columns 1 to 9. After every Coriolis storm the rock islands, wrecks and ore spots move. There is a catch: most Deep Desert rock spots can grow one of several ores, and the ore is picked again each time a node respawns.

That's why a rock that gave titanium last time can give basalt now, and why the kind of rock matters more than how many rocks you find. Pure titanium spots are rare, so grab them when you see them.

The finder on our map does this sorting for you:

• Pure islands are sectors with at least 20 spots that can only ever spawn titanium. If any exist this week, the finder shows all of them.
• If there are none, it shows the three most reliable sectors, ranked by how certain their spots are to roll titanium.

Titanium and stravidium share most of their outcrops, so it pays to check both layers before you take off: where to find Stravidium.

What you need to mine Titanium Ore

• Cutteray Mk5, crafted at the Survival Fabricator: 30 Duraluminum Ingots, 14 EMF Generators, 12 Cobalt Paste, 8 Ray Amplifiers, 5 Thermoelectric Coolers and 350 ml of water. Lower tiers won't cut titanium.
• Cutteray Mk6 is the next step up, but it costs 38 Plastanium Ingots, so it comes after your first titanium runs, not before.

• Vehicle fuel cells, water for yourself, and repair supplies.

PvE or PvP: which Deep Desert to pick

Since patch 1.3.20 every official world has at least one PvE and one PvP Deep Desert instance, and you choose when you enter from the overland map.

• PvE instance: no player combat anywhere, wrecks included.
• PvP instance: open combat from row B onwards; the PvP area starts outside the Shield Wall zone, past entrance row A. In exchange, mining and harvesting yields in PvP areas are multiplied by 2.5.

Solo or in a small group, start in PvE. If your guild can hold a sector, the PvP bonus pays off.

Dangers in the Deep Desert

What Titanium Ore is used for

Titanium Ore has exactly one use: Plastanium Ingot, the top-tier metal.

Each Stravidium Fiber takes 3 Stravidium Mass, so one ingot at a medium refinery costs 6 titanium plus 3 stravidium, and 1,250 ml of water.

Plastanium goes into all Mk6 vehicle parts (the Scout Ornithopter Mk6 hull alone takes 85), Cutteray Mk6 (38), Kynes's Cutteray (44), the Adaptive Holtzman Shield (52), the Large Ore Refinery (300), Large Spice Refinery (750) and the four advanced fabricators (115 each).

Farming tips

• Check the finder for both titanium and stravidium; Plastanium needs both.
• The Large Ore Refinery saves a third of your titanium (4 instead of 6 per ingot), but it costs 300 Plastanium itself. It's a guild project, not a first goal.
• Skip the mixed rocks when you can. A 50/50 titanium-stravidium spot is three times more likely to give titanium than a six-ore rock.
• Go early in the week. Right after the Tuesday storm every node is fresh and the best islands are still uncontested.
